choosing the right class for you
Although every Yoga practice is a blend of
breath awareness, alignment, physical and mental focus, we each
naturally tend to stress on one or more of these as against the others. When
we work in conjunction with our natural inclination yoga becomes an easy and
meaningful flow of he mind into the moment.
That is why our Yoga teachers bring their own
special talents to the class inviting you to share their gifts and discover
your own.
Here are your
choices:
drop-in classes for all levels
Intentional Yoga with Lori and Ramaa: Mondays
9.30-11am
Awaken
the energy centers in the body with “Intention-focused yoga”. This mindful
practice explores specific asanas to embody the intention of the month.
The purpose of the practice is to
release the tension in the body and prepare the mind for a guided meditation
on the same theme
with Ramaa Krishnan. All levels welcome
(Drop in:$20/$180 for a
10-session pass)
Continuing Yoga with Trisha Nealon : Monday,
6:00-7:30 pm
An ongoing class that guides you into
your own yoga practice in a systemized manner, exploring various themes each
week: forward bends, hip openers, backbends, restorative poses, inversions,
and flowing practice. And yes, we meditate!
Students at all levels of experience are welcome. Starts June 21.

a 10-session pass)
TAPAS with Lori : Wednesdays: 11.15am-12.15pm and
Fridays: 11.45 am -12.45pm
TAPAS™ (Therapeutic
Approach to Peace and Serenity) is a therapeutic class designed to
restore, energize and refresh your body in 1 hour, much like the
benefits of a midday nap. Props are used to support and open the body,
giving your nervous system maximum benefits from each pose. Pranayama
(breath work) is included in the session to integrate a greater
mind/body connection. You perform the same set of poses each class to
deepen your practice and understand how to stay non-reactive, learning
to accept where you are in the present moment. Creating this greater
self-awareness will allow you to notice the changes in your body each
week. The class closes with a calming meditation in savasana.

Special
classes ( by appointment)
Kundalini Raja Yoga
Kundalini Raja Yoga combines
posture, breath, focus, visualization and chanting all aimed at clearing the
"nadis" or energy pathways within us.
Meditation Level 2 is a pre-requisite for this class since the focus is
chakra work. One-on-one sessions with Ramaa by prior appointment only.
