Closing Thoughts

It has been a while since I wrote to the group and it is because the learning and teaching and growing with the Full Bloomed Lotus family has been all that I could do - in addition, of course, to the learning and growing at home with my family. But needless to say, all of you are always in my thoughts and prayers whether I connect with you via newsletters, in person, or not at all.

It is unbelievable that we are almost at the end of this school year. In fact it is unbelievable to me that I have been doing this for 16 years now, and nearly ten years at this very location. When I started all those years ago, my son was 7 and daughter 2 years old. Today my son is an independent young man and my daughter is a senior ready to start college in the fall! Where did the years go?

But times change and we, with time......

For the past few years now, as many of you know, I have been wanting to move to a smaller space, work less, enjoy a more flexible schedule and make more time for aging family members back home. I have been looking around and think I have found the right space right here in this neighborhood. We are still finalizing those details but meanwhile, it is time to move out of this present space very soon. Summers are quieter and I do not wish to renew my present lease anyway.

So, the studio will be closed for the summer although summer yoga, drop-in meditations and book group will continue at location(s) to be announced. Stay tuned for details.

As we wrap up for now I do want to take a moment to thank all of you for supporting Full Bloomed Lotus all these years. A special thank you to Robin Levy for the beautiful store she set up for us. A smaller version of the store will continue at the new space. Meanwhile we are having a moving sale to reduce our inventory. Many things will be offered at discounted prices. So come shop at our store for Mother's Day and other occasions. May 27th is moving day, so be sure to stop by before then.

I know this news may sadden some of you who have grown to love the studio; a part of me is grieving as well. But this space that is so dear to us was created by all of us who come together and connect deeply here in the safety of this container. We built it with our hearts and we will now recreate it at a new location. So come say your goodbyes to the past but prepare to welcome the future as well.

I am excited about the new space and the new beginnings that await us. As soon as things are settled I will give you details of the new location and summer venues. At some point I may ask you to indicate whether or not you wish to continue to receive emails from us so that the mailing list is trimmed down to those who wish to remain connected. There is a need in me to start all over, so keep opening our emails and reading them and I sure hope you choose to stay connected!
