Start Where You Are

Prerequisites: None

The Book: Start Where You Are: A Guide to Compassionate Living by Pema Chodron.  With insight and compassion, Pema presents down-to-earth guidance on how to make friends with ourselves and develop genuine compassion toward others.  

 

The class will be led by Ramaa. Through reading, reflection and discussion on the teachings, we will dig deeper and open our hearts some more. Each week's session will conclude with meditation.

 

The class fee does not include the book.  Please purchase a copy in our store on the first day of class or bring your own.

Creating True Peace

A perfect book for less than perfect times.  Author and Buddhist teacher Thich Nhat Hanh, one of the most respected peace activists on the planet right now, brings teachings and practices to end violence and bring about peace in ourselves, our relationships and our environment.

 

We will read this book, study the teachings and start practicing them. Ramaa will lead discussions and meditation every week to help deepen a mindful way of living.

Prerequisites: Rainbow Ladder

This class will apply the wisdom of the Rainbow ladder to life situations.  The only book we study here is our life and every week is a new chapter.  Each session will have a check in, a group discussion, wisdom of the week and a closing meditation.  

 

This class will run only if we have at least 10 participants registered by Feb. 26, 2020.  If the class does not run, your registration free will be fully refunded.

Weekly Wisdom Drop-in Meditation with Ramaa

Wednesdays, 10:00–10:45 am

Cost: $20 drop-in, 5-pass: $85, 10-pass: $150

Instructor: Ramaa

We offer Drop-in Meditation once a week. No prior meditation experience or registration is required to participate. Simply show up and join our group. We offer meditation chairs, bolsters and blankets to help you get comfortable and relax into meditation. Take a weekly break from the "busy-ness" outside to enjoy the quiet within and return home with Ramaa’s “thought for the week” to continue the inner work beyond your meditation.

 

Intentional Yoga

Mondays, 9:30 - 10:45 am

Cost: $20 (drop in)

10-pass: $180

Awaken the energy centers in the body with “Intention-focused yoga”. This mindful practice explores specific asanas to embody the intention of the day.  This class is very alignment oriented and strives to take the focus from the outside…to the inside.  Monday’s class concludes with a relaxing meditative reflection.
