Tastes of Life: A First Bite
A gathering of food, mindfulness and community

What if the simple act of cooking and sharing a meal could become a doorway to greater awareness, deeper connection and a more nourished life?
Drawing from her own culinary heritage and two decades of mindfulness teaching, Ramaa Krishnan will guide this warm, intimate morning in a home kitchen. Designed to stand beautifully on its own, this first session opens the door to more that is to come. She will be joined by yogini Deb Wineman, whose gentle mindful movement practice will be woven throughout.
Together we will explore the sacred role that food plays in culture and mythology across the world, cook a simple plant based Indian meal, and sit together over lunch and chai : warmed, nourished, and quietly inspired.
This gathering serves as a beautiful introduction to the Tastes of Life series, which will follow and go deeper, exploring each of the six tastes and their profound connections to the chakras, our energy system and our inner life. (No prior experience with meditation, yoga or Indian cooking is required. Just an open mind, a willing heart and a healthy appetite.)
